Rainchecks!

So you've found a great advertised item and matched it to your coupon, drove to the store to find out that all the items have been sold!  No worries, just ask for a Raincheck!   The store will give you a raincheck for the sale price of the item.  When the sale is over and the items are stocked, you can go back to the store and they will honor the price on the raincheck, combine this with your coupon and you'll get a great deal!

Nivea Lotion - $.45 @ Fry's this week

Nivea lotion normally priced at over $6 a bottle is on sale at Fry's this week for $3.45. There are a few different varieties to choose from. On Target's website, download the $1 off coupon and use your $2 mfg coupon. These coupons combined will lower the price of the lotion to just $.45! Unbelievably great price for this product!

Target coupons at Frys?

In the fine print of the Fry's ad you'll see Target listed as a qualified grocery competitor for coupons. This means Fry's will take Target coupons!

Target coupons print at their registers (depending upon your purchase) and are available on their website (target.com). This week there are $191 worth of coupons online.

So how do you use them you ask? Well first you'll need to go to the Target website and select the coupons you would like to use. Follow the directions on the screen to print them. Notice on the top bar of each coupon it states "Target Store Coupon."

You can use one store coupon with one mfg coupon per item at Fry's - this is called "stacking coupons." Here's an example of how this would work:

Scenario: Fry's has Nivea lotion on sale for $3.45. There is a mfg coupon in the paper for $2 off. On the Target website there is a coupon for $1 off. Together that's a $3 savings and you would only pay $.45 for the lotion (reg priced@over $6)! I just did this on Wednesday.

Here's the best part, Fry's will also accept store coupons for Target brand items. Common Target store brands are Archer Farms and Market Pantry. Here's an example of how a store coupon may work:

Scenario: Fry's has Kroger cheese on sale 3/$5. Target has a coupon online for $1 off a bag of Archer cheese. Print 3 coupons (there may be a limit to the number of each coupon you can print - this is determined by the website) Fry's will honor this Target store brand coupon for a Fry's store brand item! Your final price would be 3/$2. (this is just an example and not a current coupon)

So there you have it, it's worth checking out the coupons for use in both their stores and at Fry's! Stack coupons to save the most $$!!!!

Paid $6.42 for $61.31 worth of cosmetics at CVS

I really like CVS. I walked in there today and noticed their clearance stickers all over the makeup aisle so I pulled out my coupon book and cleaned house! Used a coupon for each item on top of the 75% discount. Lord knows I was in desperate need of mascara and foundation and I got stocked up today for only $6.42! I bought loreal face makeup, powder and mascara, Revlon eye makeup and eyeliner and some NYC masacara for my girl. A savings of $54.89!

FREE Frozen Strawberry Lemonade @ McDonalds

Don't throw out your Sunday paper just yet! In this weeks USA Weekend insert there is a coupon from McDonalds for a FREE strawberry lemonade, or $1 off any medium or large Frappe or real fruit smoothie.

Save money on ink cartridges

Now that you have become a pro coupon shopper, you are probably finding great coupons online. Printing these coupons does cost you a small fee since you are using resources such as paper and more expensively...ink.

I have been reducing my ink costs by purchasing remanufactured ink cartridges on EBay. I used to pay aout $14 for a remanufactured cartridge and now I am paying about $5 (w/free shipping) on eBay!

Now printing online coupons costs less and less, just another way to cut your costs!

I stumbled across the website for Catalina Coupons today and found it to be quite interesting.  The site has a variety of printable mfg coupons that  you can download and print as well as a section titled "Your Bucks Offers."  This section lists those specials that are associated with catalina coupons.

Summer Food Drive

I don't know about you, but "couponing" has created an overflow of items in our home. Because we can get so many things for free or at an amazing low price, we usually have multiples of the same item. I like to keep a good stock of supplies on hand,but rather than hoarding, I believe in sharing with those less fortunate. I came across this article today in our local paper, the West valley view. This is a great way to give back to the community and easy to do. Thought I would share in case you are interested in doing the same with your abundance of items.

This month the West Valley View has partnered with local businesses for it's sixth annual food drive to help food banks stock up for the summer.

Sunday's Paper - Over $465 in coupons!

I hope you were able to pick up some copies of Sunday's paper this week.  There are over $465 coupons in there!  I am running a little behind on my shopping lists this week because last week was full of celebrations.  My 15th wedding anniversary, my thirty something Birthday, a weekend getaway, and the birth of my very good friend's baby!
